A Quebec family business specializing in the retail sale of baby and children's products, CLÉMENT naturally places family, solidarity, and kindness at the heart of its decisions. For many years, we have been involved with organizations here and abroad, and we are adopting more sustainable practices to contribute, in our own way, to a better future.
Our commitment takes many forms—often behind the scenes, always with heart. Here is a non-exhaustive list of our initiatives.
SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Through lasting partnerships and targeted campaigns, we seek to offer a little comfort and gentleness to children and families who need it.
Sainte-Justine University Hospital Foundation
CLÉMENT is a proud partner of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. Through special campaigns, we sell products featuring Cachou, the Foundation's mascot, as part of the Teddy Bear Club. All profits from these sales are donated to the Foundation to provide a moment of comfort to hospitalized children.
CHU de Québec Foundation – “My First” Collection
Developed with the CHU de Québec Foundation, this collection raises funds to improve child care. For every pair of pajamas, bodysuits, or pants sold, $2 is donated to the Foundation. In addition, a small hat is given free to every newborn at the hospital.
The Children of Love by Madame Louise Brissette
Ms. Brissette has adopted more than 30 children with intellectual or physical challenges. Inspired by her story, Clément has donated $1 for each identified Christmas pajama to her foundation for several years.
Laura Lémerveil
CLÉMENT is proud to partner with Laura Lémerveil, an organization that supports children living with multiple and severe disabilities, as well as their families. A portion of sales from certain specially identified products is donated to fund essential, humane, and adapted services.
Enfant Soleil Foundation
CLÉMENT supports the Enfant Soleil Foundation with a gift box specially designed for the cause. For each box sold, $1 is donated to help sick children and their families.
DONATIONS, VOLUNTEERING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Over time, CLÉMENT has forged strong relationships with various organizations here and abroad to support causes related to children, health, and vulnerable families. Through various donations—clothing, contributions to events, and other initiatives—we seek to provide concrete support where the need is greatest.
Donations of clothing and accessories
Past season collections, slightly damaged or incomplete items (books, bedding, stuffed animals, etc.) — we donate what can still be used to local or international organizations working with children in need.
Community involvement
Every week, we support local causes by donating gift cards or clothing for fundraising events, raffles, galas, or initiatives for underprivileged or sick children.
Targeted donations
In July 2021, for every order placed on our site, $1 was donated to support First Nations, donated to the New Pathways Foundation and the Tipinuaikan Accommodation Centre.
ONE STEP FURTHER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
CLÉMENT is constantly thinking about how to limit its environmental impact, by taking concrete actions through its network of stores and its online service:
Sustainable solutions for logistics
Sturdy, reusable plastic boxes for distributing goods between our warehouses and stores, replacing single-use cardboard boxes.
More responsible packaging
Our in-store bags are made from recyclable kraft paper, and our shipping packaging is made from recycled materials for online orders.
Partnership with Tree Canada
For every snowsuit sold from the Rising Sun collection (made from recycled bottles), a tree is planted by Tree Canada. This initiative is renewed annually.
